Over the years, we've attracted the skilled employees and acquired the equipment necessary to work in various sectors of the construction industry - as both a trades and prime contractor. Our projects have included apartment buildings, office towers, complete mechanical installations, H.V. substations, line work, streetlighting and floodlighting. We are also involved in a number of on-going commercial and industrial maintenance and renovation contracts, which include work in the energy management systems area. And we have the resources to move our forces to wherever the job is located - even to the most remote areas, over some of the roughest terrain. Our employees including experienced and reliable site superintendents, quality journeymen, apprentices, and office and warehouse personnel, along with our full-time equipment manager/mechanic, ensure that your project will be completed properly and on schedule. The combined expertise of our foremen and tradesmen covers the full-range of installations - from basic to sophisticated. Individually, they work efficiently in virtually all categories. We're Not Just '9 to 5'
We recognize that problems can surface any time of the day or night, so we provide 24 hour, on-call service. Our trucks are radio-equipped and an after hours answering service gives instructions on how to contact our 24 hour personnel - all of whom are equipped with voice pagers.
Our Financial Stability
When United Power Ltd. first began operations in 1967, it did so with the assistance of a new, growth oriented bank - The Bank of British Columbia. We are pleased to confirm 15 years of continuous business with the bank's main branch, as one of its longest standing commercial accounts. We also have an extensive bonding capacity which has allowed us to compete successfully on a substantial number of projects throughout B.C. and parts of Alberta. Our company's careful approach to expansion and our commitment to quality workmanship and versatility is the key to our success in a highly competitive field. That success is reflected in a continual yearly increase in our total volume of work, in a growing number of ongoing contracts and, most recently, in our move to facilities four times larger than our previous location.
